Campaign Quote

My focus is entirely on ward issues.
It’s your ward and that is my priority.

Priorities

Parks Management

I have over 25 years of parks management experience with the City of Toronto, overseeing the waterfront portfolio including the eastern Beaches.

With an in-depth knowledge of how the city works and how to get things done, we made the eastern Beaches a leader in climate awareness and environmental standards — such as the blue flag beaches — while ensuring that the beaches remained a destination park for everyone citywide.

Transportation

Transportation is exceptionally important to the residents of ward 19.

Over the last decade, policy decisions at the city level have led to increased traffic and slower commutes for drivers as well as TTC users. While we are fortunate to have the GO train and subway system within our ward, it is imperative that we figure out ways to successfully optimize these assets while maintaining proper vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic.

Let’s get everyone moving more efficiently!

Ward Development

Ward 19 is seeing increased development through projects that are already underway and is slated for more large towers that are being proposed within the ward.

It is important to find the balance between increasing housing for future generations while still maintaining the character of our neighbourhoods.

Striking this balance will be a priority going forward.

As a 4th generation Beacher and East Ender, I know the schools, businesses, streets, and area intimately. I’ve been fortunate enough to be a homeowner in ward 19 for the past 25 years and have raised my three kids in the same house.

My parents have been in their home in the beach for over 50 years and both my grandfather and great grandfather lived nearby on Cassels Avenue. This generational understanding of the area, its history, and its potential, is crucial in considering what choices the city should be making for the ward.
